Romanov Eagle Porcelain Ice Cups, by the Berlin Factory; and Russian Antique Gold Spoon
Two porcelain ice cups, with a black double-headed Imperial eagle holding two crests, one with the Romanov Russian Imperial Eagle, the other with the arms of Schleswig-Holstein.
Berlin Porcelain Factory, 1778. Height: 2-5/8 in. Part of the service made in the Royal Berlin Factory on the order of Frederick Wilhelm III of Prussia (1797-1840), for Tsar Paul I, following an initial gift from Frederick to Paul in 1776 for his marriage to Marie. --------------------------------------------- 18 kt gold spoon, the handle with five cabochon rubies.
